CAD Status:
CAD has been moved to a new computer using an entirely new program for reception. Lots of changes coming, but it will be only for improvements. Let me know what access you need and I’ll fix it.
Scanner Status:
This now has a dedicated computer with 6 radios powering it. The system is incredibly robust and is certainly the most robust in Indiana. I will soon reconfigure the access permissions since a lot of people are listening to it now. I want to make sure everyone can still receive what they want.
All known MESA talkgroups are now monitored for both systems 1 and 2.
If you ever hear silence on the scanner check the top center of the display. If it says “L:” followed by a number that is the number of current listeners. Refresh your browser if you see that and hear silence. If you see “No Link” that means you are not connected to the scanner. Again, try refreshing your browser. It it continues to show “No Link” then the scanner is down. If it shows “L:” and a number then the computer that runs the scanner is up and the program that runs the front end of the scanner is also up. If silence remains, then the program that runs the backend of the scanner is down. Send me a message so I know to restart it – but this shouldn’t happen often.
